About Us & Our Journey

Direct Traffic Management Ltd was formed in June 1992 and has become one of the country's leading Traffic Management specialists. We ensure that all of our staff members from operative to management are trained to the highest standard. Using the latest technologies and safe work systems, we strive to provide an efficient, safe and cost effective service to all of our clients.

Our specialist team work on large regional frameworks to smaller sole trader jobs which are vital to our highway systems. We are based near Doncaster, South Yorkshire where we are positioned to ensure fast and efficient access to all major A roads and motorways.

We are a founding member and only one of the 12 companies throughout the country who are a member of the TMCA - Traffic Management Contractors Association and hold several independent certifications and memberships including Construction Line, SCMS, The British Safety Council and CHAS.

We strive to build and maintain a high quality service from the initial consultation and design through the to the implementation of diverse traffic systems, throughout the whole of the United Kingdom 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Direct Traffic Management Ltd are certified to ISO 9001:2015 for sector schemes 12A/B/D providing temporary traffic management systems, training nationwide, consultations, design and provision of high speed lane closures. We undertake works such as contra flows, temporary traffic light systems hire / manual, STOP/GO systems, pedestrian barrier systems and much more.

We understand that in today's complex working environment health and safety is paramount, it is essential that we provide a safe and secure working environment for our clients whilst making sure that we have systems in place to create risk assessments and safe methods of working. As members of the British Safety Council and the TMCA we are able to stay up to date with the latest legislation changes, technology updates and bulletins.

Our commitment to health and safety is highlighted by our CHAS award and our exemplary accident record, our focus and determination to constantly improve standards is driven from the Directors, the management and all of our operatives working together and being aware of our responsibilities to ourselves and everybody affected by our actions.

Members of our supervisory and management staff hold IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications and we currently have all 100% of our operatives qualified to CSCS - Construction Skills Certification Scheme. All of our policies, risk assessments and method statements are reviewed and updated on a regular basis and our own in house safety committee has formed an essential part of our health and safety management system.

Our Fleet

We operate and maintain a dedicated fleet of traffic management vehicles, ranging from Impact Protection Vehicles to 7.5t vehicles, 3.5t Flat bed vehicles and small manoeuvrable vehicles suitable for working in convoy systems. All of our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and are constantly upgraded, we also fit the latest in vehicle tracking software to all vehicles enabling our operations team to effectively manage a large fleet whilst minimising mileage and fuel consumption in an environmentally conscious manner.

Having worked at the company for over 18 years, IOSH certified Nigel supplies our qualified operatives to all schemes, employee training and fleet management. Nigel brings a positive attitude to the company.

Jamie Naylor

Contracts Director

Working in the TM industry and the company for over 23 years. IOSH certified and fully ticketed Jamie is one of our senior contracts managers, Jamie has worked with some of the largest clients in the country.

Michael Scott

Technical Manager / Estimator

Michael is a technical manager with over 10 years' experience. Like all managers Michael has undergone many qualifications in the TM industry and uses this knowledge when applying works to his clients and contracts.

Steph Scott

Accounts & Office Manager

Stephanie has been with us for over 10 years. Undertaking numerous roles such as purchase ledger, credit control, payments and invoicing clerk. Stephanie ensure the company's cash flow is running efficiently.

Daniel Felton

Contracts Manager

Taken on as an apprentice Daniel and has been a massive asset to the company. Daniel has worked his way up to the Contracts Manager position, after training under key member of the team. Daniel also undertakes CAD drawings on a large scale on a daily basis.

Daniel Bailey

Compliance Manager

Daniel has had many different roles over the few years that he has been working at Direct Traffic. He currently deals with our Compliance as well as completing the majority of our CAD Drawings & developing and improving our online tablet system from MyMobileWorkers.
